The two voices, Deepika and Adarsh, are synthetic. They were generated with Indic-Speak from Bodhan AI / AI4Bharat (huggingface.co/bodhan-ai/indic-speak). Every clip was checked for repeats and wrong words with AI4Bharat IndicConformer-600M speech recognition and then listened to by a person.

The word list, roman spelling, English meanings and example sentences were drafted by us with AI assistance. They are being reviewed by native Kannada speakers, so some may still contain mistakes. The roman spelling shows spoken Bengaluru Kannada: aa, ee, oo are long vowels, and the capitals T, D, N, L are tongue-curled-back sounds.
